About Us

The Home Team Academy (HTA) is a Department under the Ministry of Home Affairs that is committed to the training of Home Team (HT) officers in Homefront Security and Safety. The Academy aims to spearhead training relating to intelligence in terrorism, counter-terrorism, crisis management and emergency preparedness. It also conducts a wide range of programmes, including behavioural sciences and leadership development.
 
 
 
The Academy is home to a number of institutions; Co-located in the Academy are the Police Training Command, Prison Staff Training School, Immigration & Checkpoints Authority Training and Development Branch, Behavioural Sciences Unit and the Heritage Development Unit. The Internal Security Department and the Central Narcotics Bureau Training Schools are also represented in HTA as satellite schools while the Civil Defence Academy is linked to HTA as an off-campus training facilities.
