Objective
This workshop aims to help participants gain a better understanding of the behavioural components of sexual and violent crimes. The approach undertaken deviates from traditional profiling courses where the focus is on the identification of the offender. Instead, this course introduces the Behavioural Sciences Unit's framework for behavioural analysis where participants are encouraged to consider the four domains of criminalistics, pyschology, investigations and legal aspects, in their approach towards the profiling of crimes. In doing so, participants develop an enhanced way of investigative thinking towards criminal behaviour.
