Home Team Gallery

The Home Team Gallery is a two-storey building with a mezzanine floor located within the Home Team Academy.

The Home Team Gallery is the common repository for all the Home Team Departments to showcase their respective operational achievements and heritage. It brings together shared memories and stories that highlight the multi-faceted joint operational roles of the Home Team Departments.

For example, visitors will see how the rescuers risked their lives to save the workmen trapped by the Nicoll Highway collapse, hear from the narcotics officers who walked into the dragon’s den to nab drug pushers in Singapore’s first nation-wide operation, the intelligence agents who worked round the clock to stop the JI terrorists, the police detectives who traced the clusters of SARs outbreaks to patient zero, the immigration officers who stopped the virus from crossing into our borders, and the prison officers who created a network of organisations to help “rehab, renew and restart” the lives of offenders.

Official Opening
The Home Team (HT) Gallery was officially opened by Professor S. Jayakumar, Deputy Prime Minister and Co-ordinating Minister for National Security on 19 September 2008.

“I was Minister for Home Affairs from 1984 to 1994 and even in those days, I was proud of the dedication and achievements of our officers. In subsequent years, the law and order and security challenges have become far more complex and challenging. The milestones captured at the Home Team Gallery vividly show how the Home Team has evolved and is fully geared at all times to keep Singapore safe and secure.”
